Mind & Emotions

We are generally not told that the transition from work to some form of retirement is a period of great change. What we are told, is that retirement planning is mainly about superannuation, financial planning and tax. Oh that life was that simple! While getting your money organised is vital and the basis of a secure lifestyle, it is only one of the issues that need to be considered.

Because the transition from full time work to a very different lifestyle is such a major change, most people will have to deal with a range of relationship and emotional challenges, which they were not expecting. It’s different for everyone, but don’t think that none of this will apply to you. The more common issues include – your relationship, loss of identity and purpose, boredom, handling the death of partners and friends, spirituality & social isolation.

Over the last 5 years, we have been gathering a lot of helpful, expert advice on all these issues and this is available to you through our books and this web site.
