Battle for Los Angeles, as you would expect, is yet another version of the old story where some extremely unpleasant aliens are invading the earth. (why aren't there any nice creatures out there in space?)

The aliens capture city after city till only LA is left. As usual, the nasties are confronted by a small group of brave Americans, who won't be beaten.

As you would expect, it's a special effects bonanza, with non stop action and not much semblance of a plot. The director clearly wants to present this movie as a documentary covering an actual war.
