Neil Tucker BA BD DipEd GrDip Psych&Couns MA (Educ) MBA (Exec) FAIM 

Neil Tucker has collaborated with Paul McKeon for  over 14 years. The relationship commenced when Neil was Executive Director of COTA (NSW), part of the national COTA network, specialising in ageing issues - health, community education, government policy, employment, information services. While at COTA, Neil was responsible for a call centre and initiated and managed programs for over 40000 older people. Many of these programs had corporate partners. 

He commenced presenting retirement planning workshops to clients of financial services providers, and wrote a workbook Building My Retirement House currently in use in NZ. 

He has spoken at state, national and international conferences on issues affecting people over 50. He is a trained counsellor, discussing life matters with many individual persons and couples. 

Neil assisted in the creation of the first Baby Boomers Life Change web site and was the Co Editor of the company’s first book, “The Rest of Your Life.”

Neil is also an educator, current research student and consultant. He has been a teacher, school principal and Founding Chair of a school. Over 100 of his articles on school leadership, governance and management and retirement, have been published nationally. He invites readers to think about the lifestyle opportunities and challenges that retirement brings.


Paul McKeon

Paul has a Diploma in Marketing and Advertising from UTS 

He is the founder of this web site and editor of the four books that we have published. He has had a career in advertising, marketing, airlines, tourism, public relations and publishing. He has worked in Sydney, London, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Brisbane.

He and his family embarked on  a seachange to Coffs Harbour over 25 years ago and he has experienced many of the major changes that most people face as they go through their 50s and 60s.  He has been a passionate advocate for the importance of understanding the lifestyle challenges and opportunities  that retirement  generally brings.

He has been interviewed over 100 times on radio stations all over Australia as well as being featured in numerous press and magazine articles. He writes regular columns  for regional newspapers and produces articles for clients’ web sites and newsletters.


Sandra Kimball

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma in Transpersonal Counselling and has been a member of the Australian Counselling Association since 2004.

Sandra  has worked in mental health for over 20 years as a therapist, writer, educator, speaker and meditation teacher in Australia and overseas. Couples have come from around Australia and as far away as Papua New Guinea and Singapore for intensive relationship counselling retreats with her in Byron Bay, New South Wales. 

She is the author of the book, "Relationships in Our 50’s,60’s and Beyond" and is an occasional contributor to 50 Something magazine.  Her most recent article addresses the art of conversation.



Aaron Hogben

Aaron  has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement (UNISA), Certificate 4 in Fitness (TAFESA), is a Level Three Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia and has more than 25 years’ experience teaching Chinese, Indonesian and Western combat sports and martial arts. 

Aaron is the head trainer and owner of MOVE Personal & Group Training in Coffs Harbour and  previously was  the Fitness Manager at Executive Excellence in Brisbane and before that at a major gym in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Aaron is very passionate about movement education and in his professional capacity aims to help everyone he works with to move better, become stronger, more balanced and healthier. Aaron works with individuals and groups across a very broad spectrum as well as presenting workshops. He offers specialist classes for people in their 50s, 60s and 70s.

Aaron strongly believes that  good movement education, regular practice and a healthy diet will enable most people to become fitter and healthier, as well as delaying  the ageing process. 25 years of practical experience plus solid academic qualifications enable Aaron to deliver an interesting and informative presentation on health and fitness.
