A recent study conducted by the University of Queensland for the National Seniors Association, found that many mature aged workers still suffer from negative stereotyping in the workforce. The effects of this negative and inaccurate stereotyping can reduce the performance levels of older workers and encourage them to leave the workforce earlier than anticipated.
